Well, according to <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2006/LAW/02/08/fat.inmate.ap/index.html?section=cnn_topstories">this story on CNN.com</a>, Mitchell Rupe of Washington once used his weight avoid his punishment of death. In 1981 Rupe shot 2 bank tellers. 2 juries sentenced him to die. My perspective is pretty closed at this point. But it doesn’t stop there. Rupe argued that because he was 400 pounds that he would be at risk for decapitation when hung and this would be considered “cruel and unusual punishment”. Since then Washington has moved to lethal injection as a primary form of capital punishment. <br /><br />It just boggles my tiny little mind that these people do wrong and then get to sit in prison for years and not get their sentence carried out. I guess that my narrow minded views won’t change much but it does provide me the comfort to know that if I happen to ever have a bad day and kill someone, I will be able to hang out in prison for 20+ years before I have to worry about paying my dues…. I have tried both products and I feel that Microsoft tried to buy there way into the market and that they are so far behind VMware that it is not even funny. I think that this is a strategic move to try to avoid the up and coming <a href="http://www.xensource.com/">Xen</a> open sourced virtualization software that is supposed to have Windows support in their future releases. <br /><br />It wasn’t too long ago that I was thinking about virtualized environments and couldn’t fathom why anyone would do such a thing. I have since then opened my mind to the idea and have actually participated in the implementation of one. Now that I have a partially virtualized environment I can’t imagine going back to the old under utilized servers. So here is what I am going to do… I will write twice today. Well I watched most of Super Bowl XL. Boy what a disappointment. For two teams that are supposed to be the best out there, they sure had some poor playing time. Don’t get me wrong they had a few good plays but overall I would say that this game was weak. The officiating was about is good. Is it just me or does the over priced commercials seem to be going down the tube too??? There were a few good ones but overall a lot of them were just horrid and for god sake… That one with the robot and monster that mated to make a H3 Hummer was quite possibly the scariest commercial ever produced. Come on now I was trying to eat when I saw that. Luckily I don’t have kids yet so that it would not give them nightmares. Now to most who don't use the little handheld mobile email device, it doesn't make sense and they wonder what the big deal is. Coming from a guy that has used them in previous employment experiences but no longer has one (at least for the time being) it is a huge issue for our economy. I know that at first I was not overly thrilled to have this little device. After just a short time I became "one" with this handy little gadget. In this digital age where people no longer have brick and mortar offices, the shut down of this service could be a crushing blow to a lot of smaller businesses and virtual businesses. I know for a fact that some companies operate strictly with the use of tools from BlackBerry, cellular phone providers, mobile internet subscriptions, and online service tools like <a href="http://www.salesforce.com/">Salesforce.com</a>. If you were to take away their email it would be the equivalent of forcing the closure of the old school office building. It has the potential to cripple parts of our economy.
